Loquat Moxibustion
The loquat was introduced to the world about 5,000 years ago by Indian Ayurvedic medicine. About 2,000 years ago Loquat was introduced to Japan in the Nara period. The loquat tree was referred as the “Medicine King” and its leaves as a “fan that blows away sorrows”, and “has the power to save.”
The Loquat moxibustion therapy acts quickly to improve circulation of the blood and Qi- the obstruction of which is a main cause of many of today’s diseases. Loquat leaves are said to be medicinal and effective in the treatment of pain relief, asthma, cancer and stroke. Scientific research shows that loquat contains a substance called Amygdalin, which acts as a macrophage in cancer cells.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient Eastern medicinal therapy that has been practiced in China and the Far East for thousands of years. Acupuncture draws on the belief that an energy called Qi (pronounced “chee”) circulates throughout our body. When we are in good health, this energy flows smoothly along pathways in the body called meridians. Each meridian is believed to be connected to a specific organ system, and when an energy flow is disrupted by a disease or an injury, illness or pain occurs. Acupuncture is then used to balance the flow of Qi and stimulate our body’s natural ability to heal and achieve optimal health. Sterile needles are inserted to stimulate key areas of the body to bring back the balance and harmony within the body.
